MUNICIPAL WATER TREATMENT

REDUCE TOC, LOWER DBPs, AND REDUCE TASTE AND ODOR COMPOUNDS

For over thirty years, SCI 62, a liquid RTU (ready to use) non-chelated Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate, used both in source water as a pretreatment as well as inside municipal water treatment plants reduces the bio-organic load which helps reduce TOC.   SCI 62 does not cause disinfection byproducts and helps eliminate many precursors which cause taste and odor compounds such as Geosmin and MIBs. 

LOWER COAGULANT USE AND CAUSTIC USE INSIDE THE PLANT 

Year-over-year the non-chelated liquid copper sulfate pentahydrate product, SCI 62, is shown to not only help reduce TOC, but many water treatment plants report reduction in coagulant and caustic use of up to 35% each when SCI 62 is used as a pretreatment and boosted inside the plant.  Reduce sludge and improve filter run times as a result.

ALGAE & CYANOBACTERIA

SCI 62 is an EPA registered product, NSF Certified to ANSI 60 for use in drinking water.  Generally used for the control and prevention of algae and cyanobacteria, it can be applied directly to pipelines, canals, reservoirs, rivers and lakes as well as inside the water treatment plants themselves.  Used as directed, SCI 62 shows results within 24 hours.  With the often observed reduction in other water treatment commodities inside the treatment plant, it is a fast, effective and economical solution.

INVASIVE SPECIES CONTROL – DOES NOT HARM FISH OR OTHER AQUATICS

A powerful invasive species control that also controls algae and cyanotoxins, SCI 62 is easy to apply, stays in solution and rapidly disperses.  Effectively eliminates invasive species such as Asian Clams, Quagga and Zebra mussels.  Yest when SCI 62 is used as directed it does not harm fish or other aquatic life in the canals, rivers, lakes and other drinking water sources.
